I can't believe that I have not posted in forever. Oh well...it happens...Life that is. I don't have many opportunities to just sit down. These days, I am officially a "taxi driver." I am running from here to there and I seldom know if I'm going or coming. I'm not complaining though. I LOVE this busy life!! I love that my kids are involved in all sorts of activities and I LOVE that I get to be their chauffeur! I remember people telling me when Riya was born that I'd be amazed at how quickly she would grow up. I just could not imagine that then. You know...those sleepless nights, never getting through a meal without a fit, and those sleepless nights. Ha...I love my sleep. Can you tell?? Anyway, they were right. We've gone from my Little Bo Peep and her lost sheep (hehehe...Ryte may never forgive me for that one), to my kids that are growing up WAY too FAST! Time does fly when you're having fun, and pretty soon they won't be asking me to take them places. So...I am enjoying my life and my blog will just have to wait:)
Here's the update on the Woodruff Clan:
Riya is 13 now! She is in 8th grade and she LOVES school. Maybe I should say she does really well in school, and she LOVES her friends at school. Isn't that what middle school is supposed to be about anyway?? She decided to cheer this year. I was shocked!! I never thought she would want to do that, but she did and enjoyed it. She has also played on the basketball team again this year. I'm still amazed at her courage! When she sets her mind to do something..she does it! Riya is also still taking guitar lessons and that's probably what I love the most! That's a side of her that she is not yet ready to share with many people, but I'm lucky. I get to sit downstairs and listen to her play and play. I'm a little jealous of that talent!

Ricky is still just RICKY!! Crazy and always keeping us on our toes! He is working his 18th year at Commerce Recreation and he stills LOVES it! In his free time... he is also a "taxi driver."
Me...well not much has happened with me this past year. Like I said earlier, right now, I'm focused on just staying above water as I tread through the rivers of our busy life. I have decided to take on a new little adventure and I signed up to be a designer with Origami Owl. I love the living lockets and I love being able to help others create their perfect living locket. I'm not the most "social butterfly," so really network marketing is NOT for me, but I love the product and to be honest...they sell themselves. Check it out and send anyone my way that you think might like something like this:) simplycharmed.origamiowl.com
Well that should be long enough for a year post. That's what you call..."that's it in a nutshell!" I hope to be better at posting more of just daily life next year. I hope to get over thinking about how I write and just do it! I started this blog to help ME focus on the blessings of life, and I need to quit worrying so much about if it sounds good or not. That was NOT the point. Why do we do that to ourselves??? When I think logically, I know that is so silly, but that's just it...I don't think logically very often. Lol...oh well here's to a NEW YEAR!! I hope 2013 is just as blessed as the past year!
